Why Trust ClearDossier?
ClearDossier exists because information about high-stakes bureaucratic problems is fragmented, inconsistent, and often wrong. We built the GBP Reinstatement Blueprint to be the opposite: one complete, primary-source-verified reference. Here is exactly how it was built and why the standards matter.
Why ClearDossier exists
Brandon and Bridgett Smit founded ClearDossier after experiencing what most people experience when they face a serious bureaucratic problem: you can never see the whole picture mapped out in one place. You search endlessly, find fragments, piece together conflicting advice from forums and blog posts, and still don't know if you're doing it right.
AI tools have made this worse, not better, more content exists, but a trustworthy human voice that gives you the complete picture is harder to find than ever. ClearDossier is built to be that voice: one complete, structured, primary-source-verified reference for each problem we cover.
What makes the Blueprint different?
Primary sources only
Every policy claim in the Blueprint is sourced from Google's own documentation, the Business Profile guidelines, the Merchant Center policies, and official support articles. We don't cite third-party interpretations as fact. When Google's documentation is ambiguous, we say so explicitly rather than presenting conjecture as settled guidance.
200+ real case outcomes
The suspension trigger framework and evidence requirements were built by systematically analysing 200+ reinstatement cases from the GBP Help Community, Local Search Forum, and practitioner community reports. Patterns that appeared in isolated cases are identified as such. Only patterns that repeated across multiple business types and geographies made it into the core framework.
Research-driven, not opinion-driven
Brandon and Bridgett Smit are not SEO consultants or GBP managed-service providers. ClearDossier was built from frustration, the experience of facing a high-stakes bureaucratic problem and finding no single, complete, trustworthy reference. The entire organisation exists to produce that reference. We have no incentive to steer you toward a managed service because we don't sell one.
Quarterly update cycle
Google updates its Business Profile guidelines periodically. Major policy shifts, like the 2022 service area configuration change, can make previously valid setups non-compliant overnight. The Blueprint is reviewed every quarter against new policy documentation and emerging suspension patterns. Buyers receive updates.
Primary sources used in the Blueprint
Every policy claim is traceable to one of these sources. When a claim is inferential or based on observed patterns rather than official documentation, it is labelled as such in the Blueprint.

Frequently asked questions
Who wrote the GBP Reinstatement Blueprint?
Brandon Wade Smit (lead researcher and writer) and Bridgett Ann Smit (co-author and editor). Both are independent researchers, not SEO professionals or managed-service providers. ClearDossier was founded to solve the information fragmentation problem, when facing a high-stakes bureaucratic problem, there is no single complete reference. That's what ClearDossier builds.
Is ClearDossier affiliated with Google?
No. ClearDossier is an independent publisher. The GBP Reinstatement Blueprint is built from research into Google's own published guidelines and policy documentation. ClearDossier is not a Google partner, affiliate, or official resource.
Can ClearDossier guarantee my profile will be reinstated?
No. Reinstatement decisions are made solely by Google. ClearDossier provides the most complete, evidence-based framework available for building a strong appeal, but no guide, consultant, or service can guarantee an outcome that only Google controls.
Is the Blueprint legal advice?
No. The GBP Reinstatement Blueprint is research-based documentation. It is not legal advice and does not create any professional-client relationship. For legal matters, consult a qualified professional.
